How I approach the work and the tools I use
I am a Data Scientist working in the public sector, where I apply data and technology to practical problems while respecting the confidentiality of the work. I have a continuing interest in machine learning, software systems, and thoughtful user experiences, and I enjoy learning across the wider field of data science rather than limiting myself to one specialisation. Outside of work, I enjoy 3D printing, DIY projects, and video gaming.

At SIMTech, I contributed to an early smart recycling-bin MVP several years before the later BINgo pilot. My work included building a ReactJS tool for collecting and classifying training images, supporting the prototype's space-efficient mechanical layout, and assembling its electrical circuits. This exploratory prototype helped establish technical foundations for subsequent smart-bin work; I was not part of the later BINgo product or pilot.

Calories-CV
Calories-CV is a React Native app for real-time nutritional tracking. It uses camera or gallery images to upload a food image that is processed with FastAPI and MobileNetV2 for food identification and nutritional value calculation (calories, protein, fats, carbs).
Android Developer
Virtual Piano
Virtual Piano is an Android app uses Java and Android Studio to detect piano key presses on a printed paper piano in real time. It turns these presses into musical notes using OpenCV for computer vision. The app is designed to be easy to use, combining music with technology in a practical way. It shows the use of computer vision in a creative, user-friendly application.
